OTHER LISTS
In addition to the U.S. Department of Treasury's OFAC "SDN" sanctions lists, and United Nations and U.S. Department of State’s arms embargoes lists, other offices within the U.S. government maintain lists of individuals and entities that pose varying degrees of risks. Many of the lists prohibit U.S. persons from doing business with anyone on the list, and in some cases, prevent the one on the list from entering the U.S. The U.S. government also gathers names of individuals and businesses from lists maintained by allies such as Canada and international law enforcement groups like Interpol. Most of these lists, delineated below, are public, but some are not.
